Compassion doesn't discriminate.

It includes our enemies, lovers, criminals, exes, monsters, silly friends, our moms and whatnot. The trick is to see the trace and existence of those roles within our own selves and learn to guide, understand, and love those parts of us. We live with a sheer determination that even if the world doesn't sympathize, I will be there for myself.

Only then can we have the kind of vision and stamina that would change our systems structurally and thoroughly; that would help us survive (identity) crisis and heartaches.
