Child celebrities.

I grew up watching kids or young adults taking parts in (Disney) shows. Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, High School Musical, and the cheesy likes. It took me 15 years to get older than the kids enameled in those shows to finally understand the grotesque of those entertainment.

Although shows that feature young people like Some Nation's Got Talent and The Voice pose themselves as a place to expose talents and pursue dreams, how many of those adults in the execution team would volunteer to stay if it was a non-profit? "Letting others uncover dreams so that we can uncover money" is the motto. It's the good old Interest Convergence, which states: the interest of marginalized community ONLY gets accommodated when it benefits the dominant community.

Using someone's life as entertainment and making money from it, especially when that someone is a child, how could we sit well with it?
